What is “the Good News”? Here’s a few key points and ideas, which will hopefully spark your creativity of what fits your group!
You can use “The 3 Circles” which is a Gospel sharing tool - you are welcome to adapt it to fit the needs of your group.
You can also include this sharing with peoples’ testimonies. See “Sharing your Story.”
- Also, this is a great opportunity to invite folks to visit your Lifegroup! So make sure to tell them the next time you will be meeting as a Lifegroup!
The Good News includes:
- Sin and Brokenness - We live in a broken world (including our individual sin and in our world). Our sin separates us from God.
- God’s Way through Jesus - God wants to restore our relationship with Him. He did this by sending Jesus to live a perfect life and die on the cross. Jesus came back to life, which demonstrated his power over sin and death!
- The Good News - When we follow and trust Jesus, He sets us free. As we follow Him, we live out this healing and freedom.
We can invite people to take a next step. This could be:
- Accepting Jesus as Lord and choosing to follow Him.
- Learning more about Jesus in community.
Creative Ways to Share the Good News
- Using Core Elements of The 3 Circles (we will cover this on 3/17)
- Sharing our Testimonies (we will talk about this on 3/10 & 3/17; Core Lesson 3)
- Cardboard testimonies - everyone writes on a piece of cardboard: 1 side = your life before Jesus. Other side = what he’s done in you.
- Skits, a song performance, art, spoken word, dance, etc.
- Kid-friendly Resurrection eggs - using objects in Easter eggs to tell about Jesus
