All year we've been exploring our Word of the Lord for 2026: “Strengthen the Family to Multiply.”

• Season 1 (April–May): We anchored in Colossians, discovering what it means to be spiritual and relational family.
• Season 2 (August): We turned toward home, asking God to strengthen our family of origin.
• Season 3 (Now): We’re made to multiply.
  • Multiplication isn't a gift reserved for the "special" — it's the natural sign of life. Every seed that's alive reproduces. So whatever the Lord has placed in you — discipleship, work ethic, humility, honor, hospitality, a spiritual gift, a lifegroup — it's meant to multiply.
  • This season, we're exploring what it looks like to multiply what's within you. Reproduce what’s alive in you.

  • Vision: Invite someone in your group to share the vision.
  • Icebreaker: (wildly vulnerable)
    • Pass around a roll of toilet paper. As you get the roll of toilet paper, answer these vulnerable questions: How much toilet paper do you usually use when going #2? And, what’s your method to wipe?

• In twos or threes, take a few minutes to check in on how you're living life with God. Share, encourage, challenge, and pray for one another.

  • Short Context & Notes:
    • Jesus teaches a large crowd by the sea, positioning himself in a boat to address them. The parable describes seed falling on four types of ground: a hardened path where birds consume it, rocky soil where it sprouts quickly but withers from lack of depth, thorny ground where it becomes choked, and good soil where it produces an abundant harvest. The parable answers why the gospel finds hospitable space to grow among some people but not others, and what are the necessary conditions for fruitfulness.

  1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up.5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

  18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil onecomes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

🎯 LIVE IT (10 mins)

• RESPOND IN SMALL GROUPS
  • Break into groups of 2–3 for the following—
    1. Sit quietly for 1-2 minutes. Ask Father God: “Abba, what do you want me to know?” Write down what comes to mind.
       1. Example: “Bob, I want you to know…”
    2. What is your response to God? Write it down.
       1. Example: “Abba, I will…”
    3. Share with each other what you heard and how you want to respond. Pray for one another to close.
